What helps us help you
For repair questions, tell us the type of bike, roughly how old it is, and what you've already tried. A photo is worth several paragraphs.
What we can't help with
We’re an information site, not a workshop or a shop. We can’t value your bike, judge whether a specific used bike is worth buying, arrange repairs, or recommend particular products by name.
For anything safety-critical — suspected frame damage, brakes you can’t get right — please see a qualified mechanic in person.

"What size bike do I need?"
A full sizing guide with a height-to-frame reference table, plus the stand-over and leg-extension checks that matter more than any chart.
"My gears won't shift properly."
Nine times out of ten it’s cable tension, and it’s a quarter-turn fix on the barrel adjuster. The tenth time it’s a bent hanger.
"Where should I ride on the road?"
Primary and secondary position, parked cars, junctions and roundabouts, and why the gutter is the wrong answer.

We can’t assess a specific bike remotely — condition is the whole question and it can’t be judged from a listing photo. What we can do is point you at the twelve-point inspection checklist.
No, and that’s deliberate rather than unhelpful. Naming products is where independent sites start drifting toward affiliate income, so we’ve drawn the line before it.
